Tomorrow night’s show will be Mykee’s last. I think he might post a wee goodbye next week.
If you’re coming to the show be sure to wish him well :]
We’ll be partying at the southern (on south clerk street) as well as playing a wee acoustic show after the show at electric circus. Gonna be an awesome night.
Just to confirm and to avoid any rumours, there’s been no gay little spat or anything. Nor are there ‘musical differences’. He just doesn’t want to do the write, tour, record cycle any more for lots of reasons.

For Halloween this year we’re gonna be playing a show in Edinburgh at the Electric Circus!
This is our first hometown show since we released the new record AND, it’s the first time we’ve played in Edinburgh at Halloween.
You can get tickets from Ripping Records & See Tickets
There’ll be DJ sets in between the bands and it’s fuckin Halloween so it’s gonna be a wicked night.
Make sure you get tickets!!
There’s also gonna be an AFTERPARTY, which we’re gonna be doing a special wee acoustic show at.
It’s at the Southern Bar, North Bridge (Opposite the big blockbuster up the bridges).
Entry is Freeeee and there’ll be more DJ sets etc going down(town).
That’s 10pm-1am, and you’ll get £2 entry into the Hive (11pm-3am) afterwards with your stamp from the show at Electric Circus.
Awesome!
Hiya! Just a wee note to say that Marc Aspinall, the clever wee swine behind our artwork is featured in this months computer arts magazine, and they chose to feature our EP artwork from all the cool stuff he’s done.
Nice.
You can grab it in WHSmith and (possibly) your local newsagents.
Marc also added the artwork to his portfolio which you can find here
We’re back to writing and rehearsing. We’ve got a halloween show coming up and hopefully a wee tour in November. Just sorting out the details innit.
We’ve been on tour all week and we haven’t posted a blog yet cause we’re rubbish. We haven’t had much access to the interwebs other than on our phones which is what I’m using to write this just now so if it’s got lots of spelling mistakes or I use a word like ‘book’ where you think I should have said ‘cool’ it’s the phones fault not mine.
We’re on our way to Leeds at the moment for our last show with Straight Lines. It’s been wicked playing with them every night. They’re awesome live and hanging out with them all week has been good times.
We’ve played some really fun shows and hung out with some rad people. Cardiff and Birmingham were definately highlights. Looking forward to Glasgow tomorrow night! We have tones of video footage and piccies which I’m sure we’ll post over the next week or so once we’re home.
Say hi if you’ve been to a show or you’re coming tonight/tomorrow. Sorry to everyone in Edinburgh that we don’t have a show for this tour but with the festival going on, venue’s hire prices were super high or they were block booked for shows. We’re playing on Halloween at the electric circus which is a Saturday night this year so that show should be amazing. Might even do a couple of cheeky covers. Requests? : )
Thanks to everyone that’s come and seen us this week. Hope you had as a good a time as we did. Will post all those pics and videos later this week!
I’m sorry this won’t be more of an elaborate post but it’s very late and it’s a school night. Just a quick message to say that our new record, Curious Tales & Fierce Beasts is out today on itunes and we would love it if you picked it up.
You can CLICK HERE or the link at the top of the page to find it.
Let us know what you think in the comments if you buy it!

AND!! (there’s more, can you believe it?) We are on tour in August with Straight Lines (formerly SaidMike) and we’re playing the following dates:
We’ve also got new merch! SHIT!, this is a good day.
Romesh @ Longwave Studio’s
He has recorded each one of our records, and really put a lot of work into this one for us. We wouldn’t be the band we are without him.

Ben & Bez @ Sitcom Soliders
Filmed both our video’s on handycam’s out of Dixon’s and just shook em around really quickly so you wouldn’t notice. Both turned out awesome though!

Tom Barnes @ Tom Barnes Photography
Extremely Talented Photographer – plenty of length to him as well.

Owen helps to make sure we didn’t waste all our time and money by ensuring more people that just our parents hear our record. Nice of him :]
Thanks man!

As some of u may already know, we did a feckin music video on saturday.
For those of u who didn’t know this, please refer to the above sentence.
Anyways, cos we couldn’t give more a of shit about you guys, we figured that we’d give you a sneaky preview of it all;
The following excerpts have been extracted from our very own handycam footage as part of the official “the making of”, of making our musical motion picture in the making……….. of.
Scottish quartet To Catch A Thief are fast becoming a seriously exciting proposition. With a sound that encompasses riff-based heaviness, massive melody and emotionally charged intensity, they are like a distillation of what makes modern guitar based music thrilling.
The proof of this can be seen in 'Curious Tales and Fierce Beasts' (the band's third EP), due for release on August 10 2009 on Colour In Records. Building on the success of both 2008's 'Your Eyes Will Burn' and 2007's eponymously titled EP's, this five tracker is a jaw-droppingly accomplished record.
Produced with startlingly clarity and power by Romesh Dodangoda (Funeral For A Friend, Kids In Glass Houses), the five tracks all display an uncommon maturity and depth. 'Not Guilty' is a driving anthem layered with intricacy and performed with the deftest of touches. (And possessed of the kind of chorus that musical empires are founded on!).
'1000 Miles Away' is a gentle invocation that ebbs and flows until suddenly bursting into a goose bump inducing climax.
And 'The Hunted', capably demonstrates the band's addictive blend of passion and aggression.
"We couldn't be happier with the new record," says frontman Ali Lane, "We've really moved forward, developed our sound, and written the record we knew we were capable of writing. We couldn't have written the songs that we have without playing the amount of shows we have done in the last 2 and a half years, and without going through the natural progression that we have done."
Indeed the band have readily embraced the age old ethos of 'make it happen on the road'. Lengthy tours have honed and sharpened their sound immensely. And the band have no intention of stopping anytime soon.
"As far as the future goes, we'll keep touring as much as we can and hope people are into this record. We wanted to write a record that people will fall in love with and I think we've done that."
